Hey There!
I’m Dr. Pamela Varga, and I bring over 27 years of experience in veterinary medicine, with more than 22 years focused on holistic practices. My deep love for animals and commitment to their health led me to establish Hands to Paws, a unique healing center.
My Story
For as long as I can remember, the animals of the earth have been
my world, they are who I preferred to be with as a child, we had a
connection... a special language that couldn't be defined in human
terms. My entire childhood was spent outdoors in nature with my dogs
and cats and my rabbit, chipmunk, squirrel and bird friends... of course
also the caterpillars and grasshoppers and butterflies too. I was five
years old I was quoted to saying often, "I'm going to save all the animals,
no one will be unwanted or uncared for, I will save them all!" It wasn't
until I grewup that I finally understood that caring for animals, healing
them... is what God has called me to do.

So I became a veterinarian. But it was not long before I became frustrated with the limitations of conventional medicine. I knew there was more to healing because I had experienced it personally when I suffered a spinal cord injury that conventional medicine could not help and holistic medicine healed. It was a lightbulb moment. Shortly after, I was certified in Veterinary Acupuncture by Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine. I have spent years also studying TCM acupuncture (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and incorporates both philosophies into my acupuncture treatments.
I have dedicated my life to learning more and more. In addition to veterinary acupuncture, I am certified trained in many other energy medicine techniques, including Hands on Healing, The Emotion Code, The Body Code, Reiki,Thetahealing, Healing from the Body Level Up, Healing of the Spirit, Herbal Medicine and am currently in ongoing professional certification through the renouned Pitcairn Institute of Veterinary Homeopathy. By integrating my classical medical knowledge with intuitive practices and energy medicine, I have learned that the only true road to cure, to true healing, is to uncover the root causes of symptoms and diseases, promoting healing for my patients.
Over the years I have come to have a soft spot for rescued and seemingly emotionally broken animals, especially those that have had a history of trauma or have trouble being adopted because of their trauma history. Over my years of experience with rescues, I discovered that true trauma healing comes from a combination of the above healing modalities. This combination I call Emotional Release Therapy or Trauma Release Therapy. For those interested in these services but don't live close enough for visits in my New Jersey office, I offers Remote Healing Sessions, also known as Distance Healing, for your pet. I also offer phone consultations on all of the above services except acupuncture.

Healing on all levels of an animal's being is the only way to cure - they are not just physical beings, they are emotional, energetic and spiritual just like us. Emotional and spiritual traumas can be trapped in the body causing physical symptoms just like us.
So, indeed I have dedicated my life to caring for and loving animals in the way that nature intended... naturally. No poison medications, no antiquated or archaic methods, simply understanding the rhythm of nature, understanding how our emotions affects our bodies, our minds, and how the energy around us and in us can be used for healing.
I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, The American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association and The International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.
