Acupuncture Services
Acupuncture for animals has been around for centuries. It is a holistic treatment that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on an animal body. This practice aims to stimulate the nervous system, stimulate proper flow of energy in the body, improve circulation and promote healing. It's commonly used for pain relief, managing chronic conditions, and enhancing overall well-being in. Many pet owners find acupuncture to be a beneficial complementary therapy alongside traditional veterinary care. At Hands to Paws, most animals fall asleep during the treatment as seen below.

What acupuncture treats
Acupuncture can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions in animals. It is most often used for effective pain management, helping to alleviate discomfort associated with arthritis and muscle soreness. This treatment can enhance mobility and reduce inflammation, which is helpful for older pets or those recovering from injuries. Studies show that acupuncture is as effective as surgery in some cases of ligamentous injuries. Furthermore, acupuncture may assist in addressing symptoms of anxiety or stress, promoting a calmer state of mind. Additionally it can support various health issues including digestive problems, respiratory concerns, immune system disorders and allergies and ultimately contributes to the overall well-being and quality of life of your beloved animal companion.
